305 Lifetime Race brings energy to South Beach (includes video story)

Before the sun rose, South Beach was alive with excitement as thousands of runners gathered to take on the 305 Lifetime Race 2025 on Sunday. With over 4,300 runners registered, the event featured a half-marathon and a 5K. All runners were prepared to push their limits and experience Miami’s premier race event.

JC Alam, the athlete events manager of Lifetime, highlighted the race’s commitment to giving back to the community.

“We offer a charity rate for runners, and those funds go directly to one of our partnered charities,” Alam said.

The course took runners through some of Miami’s most scenic views and across the lively streets of Ocean Drive, where spectators and local businesses cheered them on. Participants tackled either the 5K, half-marathon or full-marathon distances, testing their endurance with each passing mile.

For many runners, the race held deeper significance. Whether it was about breaking personal records, celebrating fitness milestones or simply experiencing the thrill of race day, the event meant more than just crossing the finish line. Some participants trained for months leading up to race day, while others embraced the challenge for the first time, proving to themselves and others that they could accomplish something extraordinary.

The event brought the community together, crowds lined the course, offering encouragement, water, food and motivation to participants as they powered through the miles. Live music, energetic announcers and the enthusiasm from the crowd created excitement that helped runners through to the finish line.

Whether seasoned marathoners or first-time participants, runners left the event with a sense of accomplishment and the drive to return for another year.
