Abortion amendment raises concerns about politicians impacting healthcare (includes video story)

As voters head to the polls this election, many are considering their stance on abortion law. While Republicans , including Gov. Ron DeSantis, have opposed the proposed amendment to the state constitution, some experts believe that politicians should stay out of healthcare.

Joanna Russell, assistant manager of the Women’s Choice Clinic, expressed concern that physicians feel threatened by the recent wave of regulations and laws.

“When all these clinics were fined, a lot of doctors got scared and didn’t want to work anymore,” she said.

As Floridians exit the polling stations, many feel that women’s rights should be “every woman’s right.”
