Wynwood’s Aiko and Mumu draws crowds with viral Japanese sandos (includes video story)

A slice of Japan is drawing attention in Wynwood, where restaurant Aiko and Mumu is gaining popularity for its viral Japanese sandos and unique dining concept. The shop, located on 2506 NE 2nd Ave., has quickly become a go-to spot for locals and visitors looking to try the trending sandwiches.

The shop serves grab-and-go Japanese sandos during the day while offering a more elevated dining experience at night.

Customers like Anna Kamkajon says the combination of quality food and atmosphere keeps them coming back.

“The hot sandwiches are good but the dessert ones are my favorite,” said Kamkajon.

Beyond the menu, visitors say the calm and aesthetic environment adds to the experience.

Paris Bender is a Senior double majoring in journalism/broadcasting and architecture.
