A federal judge has recently ruled that Andrew and Tristan Tate will remain in jail for two more weeks until their next court hearing. Their legal team is working on fighting against extradition to the United Kingdom, where they face a multitude of criminal charges.
The social media influencers, known for their controversial views on women, were arrested in Miami on July 18. They did not appear in court this Monday and currently remain in federal custody.
Both brothers face 59 charges of rape, bodily harm and sex trafficking back in the U.K. With newly unsealed court documents revealing new rape and sex trafficking allegations from four alleged victims.
The brothers both deny any wrongdoing with their attorneys requesting more information from the U.K. and the U.S. regarding these allegations.
Their detention hearing has been set for Aug. 13 by U.S. Magistrate Lauren Louis. The hearing will determine whether or not the brothers will remain in jail during the extradition process.
