A.I.’s Angel (includes feature film)

Caplin students prodiced this feature film about a lonely college student who finds comfort and connection in an online relationship that feels too perfect to be real. And it is.

Kelly Cruz is a bilingual journalist at Florida International University who is passionate about the entertainment and sports industry. Cruz hopes to document the spirit of these dynamic fields from behind the camera. She enjoys crafting engaging narratives to elevate diverse voices in the community. Cruz will graduate with a bachelor's degree from the Lee Caplin School of Journalism & Media in digital media and communication with a minor in hospitality in Summer 2025.

 

Xiomara Arteaga is a dynamic journalist pursuing her Digital TV and Multimedia Production studies at Florida International University. Known for her kindness, creativity, and work ethic, Xiomara stands out as a dedicated and hardworking individual within her academic and labor community. With an intense passion for visuals and the arts, Xiomara is on a path to becoming a successful producer. Her deep commitment to the art of storytelling across various digital platforms proves her ultimate goal of bringing compelling narratives to life, fueling her determination to make a lasting impact on the industry and inspire others.

 

Hannah Boothe is a Digital Interactive Media major student at Florida International University. She is passionate about storytelling and using media to connect with audiences in meaningful ways. She enjoys getting her creative juices flowing over iced oat milk lattes and lofi beats.

Carlo Carusi is studying digital broadcasting. After graduation he wishes to pursue a career as a reporter or news anchor.

Sammantha Diaz is a senior in communications with a focus on video production and a minor in graphic design. After graduation, she aspires to be a screenwriter, director or cinematographer. Sammantha is currently the creative director of the Women In Technology Conference.

Bailin Jiang is a senior majoring in digital communication. Her first language is Chinese. She’s not only proficient in Chinese expression, but also has good English communication skills, and can convey information freely in different cultural backgrounds. She is passionate about all aspects of media and is particularly good at integrating Chinese and Western cultural elements into their works, showing their unique perspectives and creativity.

Carlos Medina is a senior at Florida International University who hopes to become a Real Estate agent and have a podcast about sports with his friends. Medina enjoys discussing sports with his friends, and also learning the new aspects of media. He is interested in podcasting because he likes discussing with other people and having great talks. Medina will graduate with a bachelor’s degree from Lee Caplin School of Journalism & Media in Digital TV+Media in Spring 2025.

 

Tiffany Patton is a Digital Communications and Interactive Media major in the Honors College at Florida International University. Passionate about storytelling through visual and digital media, Tiffany aims to pursue a career in marketing post-graduation, with a focus on creative direction and content strategy. She is driven to capture meaningful moments and bring bold, engaging ideas to life in the ever-evolving digital landscape.

Juliana Pavao is a senior at Florida International University who is interested in interactive media and digital marketing. Pavao has experience knowing what the public interests are and how to guide them with a strategy that will lead to high sales. She has been involved in creating a brand's identity from the ground up. She has also worked on special projects like website creation and logo creation. Pavao will graduate from Lee Caplin School of Journalism & Media with a bachelor's degree in digital communication and media with a minor in social media and E-marketing analytics in Summer 2025.
