Artist book fair, Tropic Bound, debuts in Design District (includes video story)

Tropic Bound is a bi-annual artists’ book fair that attracts visitors from throughout the world. With over 60 exhibitors, it encourages and promotes artists’ work while offering spaces for discussion, and a venue for local, national, and worldwide artists and publishers to display, market, and trade artists’ books.

“It’s important to connect with other people, different multi-cultural people from Miami and visualize the voices of many people,” said artist Gloribel Delgado.

The mission of Tropic Bound is to advance knowledge of and appreciation for handmade artists’ books as a significant modern art form where words and images interact.

The fair aims to develop a regionally accessible platform for those engaged in the production of books as an artistic medium by collaborating with artists, galleries, universities, institutions and publishers from all over the world.
