Miami got a taste of Puerto Rico when popular Calle Ocho bar The Dead Flamingo, recreated Bad Bunny’s iconic little house from his “No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí” tour. The pop-up, born from a team effort rooted in community, gave fans a chance to step into the superstar’s world and celebrate the cultural pride his music inspires.

“What inspired me is community, and that’s actually part of the idea,” says Will Thompson, one of the organizers. “It’s not my idea, right? It’s a culmination of, like, of our whole team.”

The “Mi Casa, Tu Casa House Party” transformed the venue into a full experience with drinks named after Bad Bunny’s songs, Puerto Rican flags and even croquetas passed around. Every detail, down to cafe flown in from the island, was designed to make fans feel the Boricua spirit.

“We had to order it from there,” said Thompson. “And when we made the Café con Ron, we made sure to brew it with that coffee.”

For Miami’s Latino community, the night was more than a party-it was a cultural gathering, reflecting on Bad Bunny’s influence.

“His music specifically has connected different generations, right? Like in his last album, he took a lot of, you know, salsa da merengue inspiration and added that so we have like an older crowd,” said Thompson.
