Bad Bunny ready to raise temperatures in Miami with ‘The World’s Hottest Tour’

It looks like South Florida needs to add a new holiday to the calendar. On Aug. 12, award-winning artist Bad Bunny will land in Miami for “The World’s Hottest Tour” in the world’s hottest city.

“The World’s Hottest Tour” is one of the most anticipated music events of the summer, with tickets selling out fast. The tour is expected to start strong in Orlando and Atlanta before Miamians welcome the Puerto Rican artist for two dates at Hard Rock Stadium.

Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito, stole the stage back in 2018, beginning his journey of jumping higher and higher up the fame scale. Starting with his discrete releases of “Diles” on Soundcloud, Bad Bunny crept from Puerto Rico’s beloved underground artist to the “Latino Gang” of famed Latinx musicians. Bad Bunny reached audiences on another level alongside artists like Drake, J.Lo, Cardi B. and J Balvin, breaking the barriers to establish a new wave of Latinx music.

From his humble beginnings to chart-topping singles like “Estamos Bien” and “Solo de Mi,” Bad Bunny has created a community of spirited fans willing to camp for hours outside of the venue before screaming along to the lyrics of every song on the setlist.

Bad Bunny’s previous 2022 tour, El Último Tour del Mundo, became the fastest-selling tour since 2018, bringing in a massive $116 million from 575,000 tickets sold, according to the Billboard Boxscore. The 2022 tour came after the release of two chart-topping albums, “YHLQMDLG” and “El Último Tour Del Mundo.” Not only did the album “El Último Tour Del Mundo” ignite the excitement for the tour, but also flourished into the first all-Spanish album to reach No. 1 on Billboard.

To keep the momentum going after almost six incredibly successful years, Bad Bunny released the album “Un Verano Sin Ti” on May 6, shaking the world all over again. His new tour will present the summer album to Benito fans, anxiously waiting to hear the songs live. Bad Bunny described the album as “a record to play in the summer, on the beach, as a playlist,” but it has become far more than that.

“The World’s Hottest Tour” is Bad Bunny’s first stadium tour in his career, reaching venues across the United States and Latin America. The tour will kick off on Aug. 5th at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, and in addition to Miami, other major domestic markets like New York and Chicago are on the docket before he travels to Latin America in October. Tickets are selling fast and aren’t cheap. As of July 9, on the ticket resale app StubHub, Bad Bunny seats at Hard Rock Stadium ranged from $145 to $11,380.

Joining Bad Bunny on tour is Grammy Award-nominated DJ Alesso, and ten-time Grammy-nominated artist Diplo. The pair of guests on the tour are some of the most lively and celebrated performers of the last few years, the perfect complement to the exhilarating show Bad Bunny is known to put on.
