Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo goes undercover as a Lowe’s salesman to surprise fans (includes video story)

If you recently think you spotted Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo in North Miami, think again. You probably saw “Dan” Adebayo, his appliance salesman cousin.

In a partnership with appliance manufacturer Hisense, the basketball player went undercover as a Lowe’s employee last week as a practical joke to surpise local fans and gift a free, two-person trip to the NBA finals.

“Dan” spent most of his afternoon shift answering questions about products at the store. He says that his job is harder than his three-time NBA all-star and Heat captain counterpart’s.

“I feel like Bam Adebayo does a lot on the court where he doesn’t have to interact with a lot of people but his teammates,” Adebayo said. “We got to interact with everyone in the community.”
