Before the game, fans talked up the Miami Hurricane-Florida State Seminole rivalry (includes video story)

Sure the Miami Heat beat the Florida State Seminoles this past weekend 36-14 and climbed to fifth in the national rankings.

But what fans at the game really wanted to talk about was the teams’ storied rivalry. It dates back decades.

In fact, this rivalry has lasted 70 years dating back to the 1950’s. Even after all that time, there is still a lot of bad blood between the two teams.

“When FSU and Miami play you know it’s gonna be a good game,” said U.M. fan Carl Dayle.

The Hurricanes will host Duke University next Saturday at 12 p.m.
