Biden tests positive for COVID-19 (includes video story)

President Joe Biden tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday, shortly after mingling with patrons at a Mexican restaurant in Las Vegas.

Despite his diagnosis, Biden told reporters, “I feel good,” and gave a thumbs-up before boarding Air Force One to return to his home in Delaware.

The White House reported that Biden is experiencing mild symptoms, including a runny nose, a cough and general malaise.

Janet Murguía, the UnidosUS president and CEO who presented President Biden, confirmed the diagnosis, stating, “He tested positive for COVID.”

Biden will self-isolate and continue to perform his duties, having started the antiviral drug Paxlovid. This is the third time Biden has contracted COVID-19, following previous cases in July 2022.
