On Feb. 5, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami will present its third annual Girls Night Out from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Wynwood Walls, 2516 NW Second Ave.
The event aims to empower women by assisting them with networking and philanthropy.
“We will have about 500 women of all ages, and we are super lucky to be allowed to be at Wynwood Walls for the third year in a row,” said Charlotte Hicks, one of the Girls Night Out co-chairs. “And the most important thing is the [youth in the program] that will be there … selling and displaying all their different projects.”

Gale Nelson, the CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami, said the event started as a Guys Night Out before women in the organization decided to create their own program.
“Girls Night Out bring(s) together powerful women in the spirit of community and the spirit of partnership,” he said, “and most importantly in the spirit of mentorship where our Little Sisters can see powerful women that are philanthropically minded.”
There will be an auction and a raffle with donated items. Hicks expected this year’s proceeds will double last year’s.

The event features a vibrant marketplace with handcrafted items created by BBBS Littles, showcasing their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. A speech will also be given by Jessica Goldman Srebnick, CEO of Goldman Properties and lead curator of Wynwood Walls.
