Iconic Little Havana costume shop prepares for spooky season (includes video story)

With Halloween less than a month away, Little Havana’s La Casa de los Trucos prepares for its busiest season.

The costume shop, located on Southwest Eighth Street and 13th Avenue, offers a variety of dress-up options, from rented wigs and pet accessories to spooky pranks. It was originally housed in Old Havana, Cuba, before moving to Miami in 1972 and cementing itself as a beloved South Florida staple.

“[We] recommend people buy in-store and support local business,” said owner Jorge Torres.
