Authorities say a three-week cross-country kidnapping ended June 3 in East Naples after Floyd Wiley Stuck crashed a rented U-Haul van while fleeing deputies.
The pursuit ended near Lakewood Boulevard and Boca Ciega Drive after deputies deployed stop sticks, prompting Stuck to jump into a nearby pond before surrendering.
Investigators said Stuck allegedly held his ex-girlfriend captive, assaulted her and forced her to travel across multiple states while threatening her family.
Stuck was booked into the Naples Jail Center and faces charges including kidnapping, aggravated stalking, fleeing from law enforcement and using a tracking device without consent.
