Health experts recommend COVID booster and flu shot (includes video story)

It’s getting close to the time of year when virus infections begin to rapidly increase. The vaccines most recommended today are the updated COVID-19 booster and a flu shot. It’s predicted that with COVID-19 still around, the flue season will mean crowded hospitals.

Dr. Barbara Bawer with the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center recommends stacking vaccines in order to make the process of obtaining all the shots easier. She also advises patients to follow regular vaccine aftercare instructions such as resting and having pain medication.

And she suggests starting the vaccination process early on.

“Go ahead and get them now or absolutely I’d say no later than the first week of November,” Bawer says.

Health experts also recommend you stay up to date on other routine vaccinations.
