Dania Beach hosts fifth annual exotic car show (includes video story)

The fifth annual exotic car show event took place this past Sunday at Dania Pointe. Luxury and antique car owners brought their cars to Dania Beach and displayed them.

“I’ve had this car since 1981 and I’ve had it at some very unusual events,” said Rex Turner, an attendee. “I went to Dearborn in 2003 for Ford’s 100th anniversary “It was a very cool event to take my car to, with thousands of other Ford vehicles and executives.”

Some owners let people sit inside their cars to take pictures, while others drove their cars around the exhibit so people could hear the motors. Car owners were proud of their rides.

There were all types of cars, from super-antique Fords to luxurious McLarens and Ferraris. There was also live music. The show as previously held in Fort Lauderdale.

Karen Altavilla is a senior at FIU majoring in communications with a track in digital broadcasting. She enjoys writing and telling stories on entertainment or crime. She hopes to have a future on a television network as an anchor or working in production.
