Dolphins lose to Seahawks, so it may be Tua time (includes audio story)

The Miami Dolphins (1-3) lost to the Seattle Seahawks (4-0) at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The Fins fought to the very end and surprised many. However, coming out of the game there was no media focus on the improvement of the defense at all. Rather, folks burrowed in on one specific theme:

Here’s the thing: The Dolphins are in a good situation right now. They have their future QB sitting and learning behind Ryan Fitzpatrick, who has been in the NFL for over a decade. The kid is learning and getting better off the field, which will later translate onto the field.

We know that Fitzpatrick is losing it. You can see it in his arm. The question is when to make the switch. The Dolphins have been in the game with a chance to win in all three of their losses. Fitzpatrick was the difference in those losses. But making sure Tua gets more time to learn is key.

The big moment will come this week when coach Brian Flores decides whether to start Tua against a depleted San Francisco 49ers team that recently lost to the Philadelphia Eagles.

If Flores makes that decision, we’ll have something for you guys to read. Gear up, stay patient and remember: The future is bright.
