With Father’s Day approaching, the Doral Cultural Arts Center is presenting “Las Paredes Oyen,” an immersive play that honors the courage and memory of Cuban political prisoners during the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. The production runs from June 14 to July 6 and sheds light on a chapter often left in silence.

Authored by playwright Robby Ramos, the play explores the struggles and resilience of those who faced political repression.

“Speech is probably the most important right that we have as people, and I think the play really hits on that,” said Ramos.

The Doral Cultural Arts Center hopes the production will educate audiences about this critical period and inspire reflection on the strength passed down through generations affected by these events.

Tickets for “Las Paredes Oyen” are available now, with several showings scheduled through early July.
