From now until March, travelers can score major deals on booking cruise trips for the year.
During “wave season,” cruise lines lower their prices from the typical range. Travelers can find savings on future voyages. The AAA says roughly 19 million Americans will book a cruise trip this year.
“Cruises are a wonderful value because for that one price you get to visit multiple destinations,” said travel expert Emily Kaufman.
As long as the trip is booked during wave season, travelers are eligible for the discounts regardless of embarkation date.
“You don’t have to take the cruise at this time,” said Kaufman. “You can take the cruise all the way through next year. This is just the time where you see the added values and the savings.”
Specific savings now include Carnival’s $870 discount per room sale, Royal Caribbean’s $800-off bargain, Norwegian Cruise Line’s deal of up to $1,500 off plus benefits for a second guest.
