Thousands of people across the nation took to the streets this week to protest the Department of Government Efficiency’s open access to federal payment systems and dismantling of USAID programs.
Members of Congress came together to rally support for a Democratic pushback, including Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine, who addressed a large crowd of protestors.
“Monies allocated by Congress cannot be stolen by a president,”said Kaine. “They have to be used in the way they were allocated.”
Thirteen states have vowed to sue Musk and DOGE for allowoing outsiders gaining access to the financial records of millions of Americans.
