Fire Expo Festival brings together Miami Fire Rescue and local residents (includes video story)

This past Saturday, the Fire Expo Festival, held at Regatta Park in Coconut Grove, brought together Miami’s firefighters, their families, and the community for an exciting and educational day focused on fire safety. The event offered a unique opportunity for the public to connect with first responders and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and responsibilities they face daily.

The festival was filled with interactive fire safety demonstrations, food trucks, face painting and special guest appearances like Sparky the Fire Dog. Children and adults alike had the chance to explore the emergency vehicles, try on gear and learn about fire prevention in a hands-on way.

“[The event] allows the community to come out and share with us the things that we take to heart and do as a profession,” said assistant fire chief Steven Carroll.
