FIU wins big in inaugural game at Pitbull Stadium (includes video story)

Panther Nation welcomed the first game at the renamed Pitbull Stadium with excitement on Saturday.

As the FIU Panthers played Central Michigan, the “Dale Era” was in full flow despite the artist’s absence.

“Now with the Pitbull Stadium, we’re super excited to be involved,” says David Almansa, FIU’s student body vice president.

The Panthers dominated. Maybe a spectacular play was Keyone Jenkins’ 36-yard touchdown throw to Eric Rivers.

While Central Michigan showed some life, FIU’s high-scoring offense continued, and the Panthers went on to win 52-16, their highest scoring game since 2018.
