FIU President Jeanette Nuñez honored with key to the city of North Miami Beach (includes video story)

On Thursday, North Miami Beach Mayor Michael Joseph and the Commission honored FIU President Jeanette Nuñez with a key to the city. The ceremony recognized her distinguished leadership and contributions to the state of Florida.

“The city of North Miami Beach is not only important to FIU,” said Nuñez, “but it is also important to me.”

The ceremony symbolized the city’s appreciation for Nuñez’s lasting impact on bothstate level and the local level.

“Honoring President Nuñez with the key to the city underscores her enduring impact on Florida and the lives she continues to influence through education and leadership,” said Joseph.
