Florida International University continues to expand its national influence, with its presence in Washington, D.C., serving as a cornerstone of its student development strategy. During a recent visit to the capital, FIU President Jeanette Núñez met with students interning in D.C. as part of the university’s growing effort to foster connections and expand opportunities beyond South Florida.
President Núñez took the time to engage personally with interns, sharing stories from her journey and encouraging students to make the most of their time in Washington. Her visit included a special lunch with interns, where she listened to their experiences and inspired them to think ambitiously about their futures.
“This is the best part of the job,” said Nuñez. “Being able to see our students and see the smiles on their faces, see the passion in their eyes, and then ultimately see the great work that they’re doing.”
