The Miami-Dade County Youth Fair has brought fun to families since 1952, with over 500,000 participants attending annually. On April 3, FIU students will be able to enjoy the fair for free with a valid FIU ID.
Alongside their classic rides, fairgoers are drawn in by the overwhelmingly delicious assortment of foods, such as corndogs, ice cream cones, and the ever-so-famous turkey legs.
In addition to the games and rides, the fair also features a vendor area that sells clothes, jewelry and other treats, and a barn where visitors can pet and see various animals.
“I like the barn!” said fair attendee Nancy Ozon Moreno. “I like to see the animals, and the pig races!”
