Flamingo Road Nursery’s fall festival opens (includes video story)

Flamingo Road Nursery’s annual fall festival, which runs from Sept. 20 through Nov. 2, is transforming the ten-acre garden center in Davie into a festive autumn wonderland.

Although South Florida doesn’t usually experience a cold fall, the nursery offers a variety of activities such as pumpkin painting, hay rides, pumpkin carving and scarecrows to create that cozy fall feeling.

There are children’s crafts, frozen apple cider and local food vendors selling treats around the garden. There are also many locations for photo opportunities, including skeletons, hay bales and more.

“I love working with my coworkers,” says Lyz Stephanie, a manager at Flamingo Gardens. “We have the best teamwork.”
