After the recent contentious election of President Nicolas Maduro, many Gen Z Venezuelans in South Florida are experiencing a complicated reality filled with indignation about the ongoing issues that drove them out of the country.

This podcst seeks to elevate the voices of Gen Z Venezuelans living in South Florida, and bring attention to their challenges, perseverance, and aspirations for a better future.

EPISODE 1: Isabella Paola – A Personal Journey of Resilience

Through a deeply personal lens, Isabella Paola looks back on her journey of leaving Venezuela at a young age and starting over in Miami, Florida. Her story shows the difficulty of leaving home and being forced to adjust to a new environment. EPISODE 2: Eduardo Gamarra – The Venezuelan Exodus

This episode offers a thorough examination of the Venezuelan migrant situation by Eduardo Gamarra, who is an expert in international relations and politics. He analyzes the difficulties that Venezuelans encounter when navigating American asylum laws and legal obstacles while concentrating on the crowded South Florida population.

Alejandra Ayala is a senior majoring in Digital and Interactive Media in the area of Communications at Florida International University. She worked for PantherNOW as a photographer for the sports and entertainment areas. She also worked as a Social Media intern for the Miami Marlins. She's passionate about content creation, marketing, and business. Her expected graduation is in the Summer of 2025, and after she graduates she would like to work for a news or marketing company.

Edward Delgado is a senior majoring in Digital Interactive Media. After graduation, he plans on attending law school with a special interest in entertainment and media.

Jessica Oliva is a junior majoring in digital communications and media at Florida International University. After she earns her bachelor’s degree, she hopes to pursue a career in sports journalism working alongside professional athletes.
