Heel2Heal improves mental and physical health with dogs (includes video story)

Heel2Heal is an organization created in 2018 by Kelly Rounds, Deborah Snyder and Brian Galea. Its mission is to spread comfort, joy, and healing to others in the South Florida area through therapy dogs.

They help sponsor a variety of volunteer opportunities such as the Miami Hound Machine at Miami International Airport and Coconut Grove Cares’ Barnyard as well as schools and hospitals.

Heel2Heal strongly believes in the mental and physical health benefits of therapy dogs. Among these are lowering heart rate, helping with anxiety and reducing stress.

Heel2Heal plans to expand in the future and attract more volunteers.
