Hunter Biden found guilty of felony gun charges (includes video story)

Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, was found guilty on three federal felony gun charges this week. The verdict was released Tuesday morning and is a result of Hunter’s past with drug and alcohol abuse.

The case stemmed from Hunter’s purchase of a handgun in 2018. The first two counts were for lying about his drug use on a federal background check form, and the third count was being addicted to, or using, illegal drugs while owning a firearm.

The jury deliberated for three hours before reaching a verdict. Hunter Biden faces a possible sentence of 25 years in prison. However, his status as a first-time offender may reduce his penalty. His sentencing date is yet to be determined.

When asked to make a statement, President Joe Biden supported his son, saying, “I am the President, but I am also a dad. Jill and I love our son.”
