Biden takes action to fight inflation (includes video story)

Prices are rising rapidly around the country. Gas, food and housing are some of the areas most strongly impacted, and Americans have criticized the government for not acting faster to rectify the increases.

President Biden invited Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen to the Oval Office yesterday to discuss strategies for combating inflation.

“The American people have every right to judge our administration and the President’s words,” said Jared Bernstein, a member of the White House Economic Council. “When the President says it’s his top domestic priority, he means it, and we have to show that to the American people.”
