On Monday, Florida International University’s President Jeanette Nuñez visited the Biscayne Bay Campus to appear as a guest on the podcast “Tech Conversations.”
Nuñez was also presented with projects made by students at the Ratcliffe Art and Design Incubator.
Celebrating its fifth anniversary, Maggie Salas, faculty mentor and podcast host, discussed leadership and innovations with President Nuñez.
Salas said, “there was no better time” to bring the president for the eighth season of the podcast.
Nuñez highlighted FIU’s participation in the Artemis II mission, which recently traveled to the moon.
“We’re involved in a lot of aspects: developing water filtration systems; developing coding for the lunar modules; training astronauts,” she said.
