La Casa de los Trucos continues Halloween tradition for 50 years (includes video story)

La Casa de los Trucos, open since 1972, hits its 50-year mark this year.

There are more than 15,000 costumes for customers of all ages including some that reference real-life situations like the pandemic.

Manager Jorge Torres expects sales to decline this year because Halloween falls on a weekday. “This year you’re going to see a decline because last year was a Sunday so you had all the parties,” Torres says. “But this year it’s a school night”

The manager says the best time to shop is the first couple weeks of the month. Halloween is October 31.
