Labor Day crowds enjoy Miami on long weekend (includes video story)

Sunny beach days, scenic boat tours and shopping on the bay are some of the ways workers spent Labor Day in Miami.

At South Pointe Park, many enjoyed a relaxing day on the beach.

“Well, the weather’s been beautiful, so that’s been really nice,” said Andrea Martini. “And we just wanted to just come with the family, spend some time in this gorgeous paradise and just take it easy.”

Bayside Marketplace, Miami’s number-one tourist attraction according to the Greater Miami Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, also brought massive crowds. Some came from other parts of the globe.

“We really didn’t have anything planned for Labor Day, no more than the Thriller boat ride,” said Lenisha Vasser. “However, we’ve been out here shopping and I just got my little face done, so hey.”
