LIV Golf returns to Trump National Doral for fourth consecutive year, sellout crowd expected

LIV Golf is set to return to the Trump National Doral hotel for the fourth consecutive year from April 4 to 6. The tournament will be held at the Blue Monster course. The event will serve as the final showdown before The Masters in Augusta, Georgia. With a $25 million purse, a stacked field of world class golfers and an exciting Miami crowd, this event promises to deliver a high stakes thriller.

This year’s tournament comes at a critical time for LIV Golf, as the league continues to expand its global footprint while players balance their schedules between team and individual competition.

LIV Golf is backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. Due to the kingdom’s massive financial holdings, it has lured many top golfers from the PGA Tour with lucrative contracts and prize money. This has led to much controversy, including a merger agreement. However, negotiations over financial control and the future of the sport’s integrity continue.

In Doral, defending champion Jon Rahm will be looking to retain his title after an impressive performance in 2024, while RipperGC, led by Cameron Smith, will aim to defend its team championship against powerhouse squads like 4 Aces, which is led by Dustin Johnson, Aces GC headed by major champion Brooks Koepka, as well as Crushers GC captained by Bryson DeChambeau.

The Blue Monster golf course is well-known for its tricky water-lined fairways, deep bunkers and tough finishing holes, all of which make it one of the hardest courses on the LIV schedule.

Beyond the tournament, LIV Golf Miami 2025 will offer fans interactive zones, fan engagement areas and live entertainment.

On Saturday, April 5, music lovers will be treated to a post-round concert by the legendary band Sublime. A new exhibition match called “Duel: Miami” will also include top professionals teaming up with golf influencers.

General admission to the tournament costs $30.50. Premium hospitality packages include clubhouse access and VIP viewing areas and go for $350. Organizers expect a sellout crowd.

For those unable to attend in person, the event will be broadcast globally, with coverage on Fox Sports in the U.S., ITVX in the UK, and other international streaming platforms. Additionally, LIV Golf’s new docuseries, “LIV to Win,” debuts April 7 on FS1, providing fans with behind-the-scenes access to the players, teams and off-course events shaping the league.
