Protests outside Dodger Stadium amid ICE controversy and lawmaker clashes with DHS (includes video story)

Tensions flared up in Los Angeles after Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents were seen near Dodger Stadium. According to the Dodgers team, federal agents were denied entry onto the premises.

This incident is just one of many fueling controversies over ICE tactics, drawing concern from lawmakers, including Democratic California Sen. Alex Padilla. Padilla was forcibly removed and put on the ground after trying to question Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem during a heated exchange, he referenced the event before testifying before Congress.

“If a United States senator becomes too afraid to speak up, how can we expect any other American to do the same?” said Padilla.

Another lawmaker, Rep. Lamonica Mciver, a Democrat from New Jersey, also faced complications when she got in the way of immigration officers outside a detention center. Mciver was indicted, and according to her lawyers, they will be dealing with the charges in court.
