A 23-year-old man was attacked by an alligator and lost his arm while relieving himself at a pond behind a bar.
After waiting in line for the bathroom, Jordan Rivera decided that desperate times called for desperate measures and headed to the pond at in Banditos Bar in Port Charlotte. He was then dragged into the pond by the alligator who then lunched on his arm.
Rivera remains positive, “I didn’t lose my life, I lost an arm, it’s not the end of the world,” he says.
After being removed from the pond, the alligator was found to be nearly 10.5 feet long . According to the FWC, it was humanely euthanized.
