Miami’s lack of public transportation hurts residents (includes video story)

The recent opposition to BayLink’s expansion to connect the beaches and mainland is one of the many obstacles that have delayed the creation of a better public transportation system in Miami-Dade County.

For decades, the approach has focused on the expansion and improvement of the highways and the implementation of new bus routes. The city has rapidly outgrown these plans, affecting tens of thousands of daily commuters.
