Miami Heat plays Orlando Magic to kick off NBA season (includes video story)

The NBA 2024-25 season kicked off at the Kaseya Center in Miami, where the Heat faced off against the Orlando Magic in their home opener Wednesday night.

While the roster remained largely the same as last season, the most notable addition was center Kel’el Ware, who some fans believe could be the missing piece for the Heat.

“Kel’El Ware…being so young and fresh…makes us have an opportunity to grow,” said longtime Heat fan Kenneth Sostre.

Even though the Heat lost to the Magic, fans are still optimistic that the team can build on their performance and improve in the upcoming games.
