The Miami Hurricanes are 2-0 after crushing their first two opponents. On Saturday, the Canes beat Florida A&M University in their home opener 56 to 9.
Cam Ward, the Canes new senior quarterback from Washington State, is a huge reason for the team’s better play. He threw for 304 yards and three touchdowns, including one where he leaped over defenders to dive into the end zone himself.
Ward says he isn’t surprised. “I put up numbers my whole life so the numbers don’t shock me,” he said. “I know what type of player I am.”
The Canes will host the Ball State University Cardinals next Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Hard Rock Stadium.
