On Feb. 21-22, thousands of fans filled LoanDepot Park to get a glimpse of the superstars of the Monster Jam Stadium Series East tour.

To earn points, drivers competed in three competitions over the weekend: racing, two-wheel skills and freestyle. The competitions started 5 p.m. on Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday.

This year featured a particularly tight battle between drivers Tristan England and Camden Murphy, who entered the weekend only separated by three points. At the end of the weekend, the gap widened with England in the lead.

“It’s been some tough competition,” said Jamie Sullivan, driver of the new truck “Sparkle Smash”. “These drivers are neck-and-neck on these points. We’re all trying to get to the World Finals, to get the chance to actually go for a championship.”

Monster Jam will return to South Florida in August at Sunrise’s Amerant Bank Arena.
