Drivers prepare for Monster Jam action this weekend at Loan Depot Park

LoanDepot Park, home of the Miami Marlins, is hosting Monster Jam from Feb. 21-22 and drivers are more committed than ever to win the most points in the series.

In order to earn points, drivers need to compete in three competitions over the weekend: racing, two-wheel skills and freestyle. The competitions start 5 p.m. on Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday.

This will be the sixth stop for the Stadium Series East Tour. The series started in Orlando with Camden Murphy edging out the “overall event championship” by accruing the most points during the event. Murphy was followed closely by Tristan England who was only three points behind.

Since Orlando, both drivers have gone back and forth, with the gap still sitting at three points several weeks later. England is in the lead.

“As soon as we got on tour together, it was like we were brothers,” England said about his rival. “It’s super fun to be on tour with a friend that is a buddy off and on the track. And not to mention, he was the best man at my wedding.”

From 12:30-3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Monster Jam will also host a “party in the pits,” where fans can walk the stadium floor to see the track, trucks and drivers up close for pictures and autographs.

“interacting with the fans is absolutely my favorite,” said Jamie Sullivan, driver of “Sparkle Smash.” “Every weekend, we go somewhere different, and it’s cool to see the different people that come from these different towns.”
