Nearly a million kids ages 5 to 11 have received their first vaccine dose (includes video story)

The White House estimates nearly a million kids have gotten their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

One hundred and fourteen children’s hospitals and doctors’ offices are offering vaccinations to kids ages five to 11.

But getting more kids vaccinated is often a battle against equity.

A recent poll shows parents with lower incomes are less likely to get their kids vaccinated, which increases infections and health conditions among members of those communities.
