Hundreds gathered at Bayfront Park for the “No Kings” protest, joining a national day of action against the Trump administration’s immigration policies. The event drew families, activists and concerned citizens who say these policies undermine the core values of fairness and justice that define the nation.
Speakers at the rally called for compassion, unity and increased civic participation, encouraging attendees to raise their voices and remain engaged beyond the protest.
“You come here, and you know you’re on the right side,” said activist Eliana Salzhauer. “Staying home and being stressed or afraid doesn’t accomplish what we need.”
Organizers said the event was a clear message that communities across the country are paying close attention to immigration policies and are committed to standing together for change. They hope today’s demonstration inspires even more people to get involved and have their voices heard.
