An Ohio family has taken legal action against Dayton, Ohio Public Schools after surveillance video captured their autistic son being assaulted by a teacher’s aide.
Taneisha Lindsey and Robert Tootle, parents of 4-year-old Brayden, expressed deep frustration over the incident and questioned the aide’s competency and hiring process.
Despite assurances from Dayton Public Schools that the aide was promptly placed on leave and later dismissed, Brayden’s parents allege that the district prioritized their public image over genuine reconciliation with them.
“It’s just sad that, you know, they were trying to make themselves look better for the public versus trying to make amends with us and we all saw the same video,” Lindsey said.
