Paw-sing for care: The rising cost of veterinary medicine (includes documentary)

Pets are family, and they deserve the best care.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Consumer Price Index, veterinary costs have increased by nearly 11% from July 2022 to July 2023. This mini-documentary gives a glimpse at three pet owners who have struggled with this issue while trying to provide the best care possible to their four-legged friend.

Veterinarian experts explain that one of the causes of the increasing costs in the field is the shortage of veterinarians.

“In the next ten years, there will be a 40,000-veterinarian shortage due to retirement and big businesses hiring all the graduates into vet corporations,” said Dr. Irving Lerner, president of the Miami Veterinarian Foundation.

Paw-sing for care provides possible solutions to help pet owners and their furry friends.
