Authorities in Hollywood reported to a deadly small plane crash yesterday afternoon in the area of 450 North Park Road.
The plane, which hauls banners, crashed near a shopping plaza after departing from the North Perry Airport and erupted into flames. The pilot died at the scene. Authorities did not release a name.
“I’m so shocked this happened so close to home,” said Jessica Moses, a third-grade teacher. “I mean, this is a busy area, people are always on the street. It’s just shocking to even know that, well thank God, no one was hurt. So, I’m very sorry and sad to hear about the loss of the young man that passed.”
