This past Saturday, the City of Plantation hosted its 24th Annual Doggie-Palooza, a dog expo that featured activities, entertainment, and resources tailored to canines.
At Happy Tails Dog Park, located at 6600 SW 16th Street, Plantation, FL 33317, the expo collected an entrance fee of $2 per human that was donated to a local non-profit — dogs entered free.
Doggie-Palooza featured police K-9 demonstrations, frisbee dog shows, and interactive activities like lure courses. A free photo booth allowed attendees to capture memorable moments with their dogs. Local vendors sold accessories for dogs, and organizations such as 1 Lucky Dog Rescue and the Humane Society of Broward County looked to connect potential pet owners with a furry friend for adoption.
“I love to be able to come and bring my dog to interact with other dogs,” said Lovetie Cordero, the owner of 12-year old chihuahua mix Chloe. “It’s fun to see dogs and their owners match each other physically.”
