On March 25, Posh & Purpose, a nonprofit production company, partnered with Not Just October to host a fashion show at the Electric Lady in Miami that centered on breast cancer awareness. The event, “Fifty Shades of Ultra Couture/Lingerie,” celebrated female empowerment through bold fashion, dynamic performances and immersive art forms, including body painting and dance.
The night unfolded with a cocktail hour at 7 p.m., followed by a visually striking runway show at 8 p.m., and an afterparty at 11 p.m., hosted by DJ Alexander Padei. With many attendees from the medical community, the event raised funds to support breast cancer patients, reinforcing the mission of Not Just October.
For designer Laury Prudent, the fashion had a deeper meaning.
“I think fashion is beyond what you wear,” said Prudent. “I think fashion is about personality, individuality. It’s about being able to just express who you are and not really care what people think.”
