Comedian Cliff Cash, best known for his stand-up work, is also the organizer 0f “Fox Takedown,” a protest movement calling for the cancellation of the Fox Broadcasting Company. The movement was brought to Florida this weekend in front of WSVN-TV’S station in North Bay Village.
Using social media, he has spread the word nationwide, leading efforts in about 19 different cities.
This demonstration was one of many being staged as part of this larger campaign. Protesters are gathering across the country to voice their opposition to the network and demand accountability.
“I drove over 4 overs to be here today to support Cliff Cash, and the growing nationwide fox takedown movement,” said protestor Vanessa Kruichack. “I firmly believe that fox, not news, is responsible for the extreme hate and division that we are seeing among Americans in our country right now.”
Supporters say the movement reflects their desire to create change in the way they know best: by uniting, speaking out and using collective action to push for reform.
As protest organizer Cash said, “If you want to stop a tyrant, move their microphone.”
