Rock n’ roll and the world mourns Tina Turner (includes video story)

The world is mourning the loss of the “Queen of Rock and Roll.”

Tina Turner, 83, passed away May 24 at her home in Zurich, Switzerland.

The singer was known for her vivacious performances on stage and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a solo act in 2021.

“That is my style,” said Turner. “I take great songs and turn them into rock n’ roll songs.”

Her family released a statement saying Turner passed away peacefully after battling numerous “medical catastrophes.”

According to Turner’s representatives, a private funeral service will be held for her friends and family. Across the world, people have been memorializing the musical trailblazer.
